What we get up to….

Photo taken while staying at the wonderful Sausage Tree Camp, Zambia. Here we are fishing on the banks of the Zambezi, one eye on the River on the lookout for Alligators, another on the lookout for Hippos, another on the lookout for Lions, another on the lookout for Elephants :)

time gets away from ya….

the numbers don’t lie…. It’s been nearly a month since our last entry, which is a little mad. So, what have we been up to!?

Lot of planning for our trip to the US. I feel sorry for those shops in Manhattan, Kylie has maps, she has plans, she has goals – she’s really looking forward to it. I am too – Kylie’s found some great shops for me too.

Lot’s of work Both Kylie and I have been very busy at work, with only 7 weeks until we’re out of action for a while, there is a lot to be done before we leave.

Powderchair concert Kylie and I went along, with Courtney (a work friend of Chris’s) to see the powderfinger and silverchair concert. What a great concert! I was a little so-so on the silverchair guys – though “straight lines” might have been the best song of the night! Powederfinger were awesome, it was the first time we had seen them, but i reckon I will get along to just about any concert they’re in brissie for. very good concert, very much enjoyed the night.

Father’s day: I enjoyed another great father’s day. Kylie took both myself and her dad to gold class movies to see the new Bourne movie – stacks of action and a nice morning. We then had a barbie down at Thompson’s beach with my dad and mum. thanks kylie and jacko!

Fire in a warehouse article Yesterday morning we were out and about doing some errands we drove past this, it must have been just as it was starting. I saw a little bit of smoke and one fire engine and some people walking out of the factory. When we went to drive past about 20 minutes later, the road was shut and you could see flames shooting into the air, a huge plume of smoke and choppers flying overhead (media??). Nasty work – sad that some people lost so much of their belongings and business – hopefully they were properly insured.

only 48 days until we set off….
