The Chambers

What we get up to….

Photo taken while staying at the wonderful Sausage Tree Camp, Zambia. Here we are fishing on the banks of the Zambezi, one eye on the River on the lookout for Alligators, another on the lookout for Hippos, another on the lookout for Lions, another on the lookout for Elephants :)

kids do the darndest things….

so, we’re driving home Tuesday. We’re just off the freeway, coming up to the Gabba and Jackson starts crying – screaming in fact. He’s obviously in pain and it takes only a few seconds for him to tell us that a sultana is stuck up his nose! OUCH – wouldn’t that hurt…. !?

So, Kylie is driving and I’m in the front passenger seat. Jackson is howling.

I spin around in the seat and I can see a bump in his nose, which is obviously this sultana and it’s stuck up a fair way. He’s still screaming.

We’re stuck in traffic. He’s still in pain.

We ask him to blow his nose…. nothing (we want to) comes out. He’s still in pain.

When the traffic starts up again, Kylie turns the car off towards the hospital. Jackson is still in pain and now he tells us he doesn’t want to go to the hospital and that the sultana is gone. We’re still telling him to blow his nose. He’s still in pain…

We pull off the road and I get out and am in the back covering one nostril and telling him to blow out his nose. (Mum’s and Dad’s get to do the coolest things!). He’s still screaming.

I’m telling him to blow his nose and then POP out it comes! gross… This was a big sultana. Operation completed…. back on the road and away we go.

So, now we randomly ask Jackson what he isnt going to do to his nose and he knows the answer.

have a top weekend.
